Hi, I’m Siddharth Dabas, a passionate researcher, policy analyst, and writer with a deep interest in exploring the intersections of public health, epidemiology, and the Indigenous nations of Canada. My academic background includes a Bachelor of Public Policy from the University of Toronto and certifications in Digital Health Data Management, Indigenous Canada, and Google Cloud. I bring years of experience in policy development, research, and stakeholder engagement, with a focus on projects that create meaningful impact—whether by consulting with Indigenous communities on environmental assessments or analyzing health systems for better public outcomes.
My journey has always been driven by curiosity and a desire to make sense of complex systems—be it through studying public health trends or understanding the unique governance and traditions of Indigenous peoples in Canada. Along the way, I’ve discovered a love for writing and sharing knowledge, which is the foundation of this website.
This blog is my way of giving back to the world of ideas. Here, I publish thoughtful pieces on public health, epidemiology, and the rich cultures and histories of Indigenous nations. These topics not only align with my professional expertise but also with my belief in the power of informed discussion to drive change.
Beyond my professional pursuits, I find immense joy in reading books that provoke thought, challenge perspectives, or simply inspire. I often write about specific passages that catch my attention or delve into reviews of works that resonate with my interests in policy, history, and health. Sharing these reflections is my way of connecting with others who share a love for storytelling and ideas.
Whether it’s crafting research-backed policies, advocating for underserved communities, or exploring the narratives of the world around me, my work is rooted in the belief that knowledge is a tool for action. Through this platform, I hope to inspire conversations that matter, provide clarity on complex issues, and contribute to a deeper understanding of the topics that shape our world.
Thank you for joining me on this journey. I hope my writing sparks your curiosity, broadens your perspective, and invites you to think critically about the world we live in.
